Nevada’s Workers’ Compensation Lawyers
You Work Hard Enough, Don’t Fight Alone
Hurt on the Job in Nevada? You’re Not Alone.
Getting injured at work can flip your life upside down. One day you’re earning a paycheck, supporting your family, and the next you’re wondering: How will I cover medical bills? What if I can’t go back to work? Will my employer fight me on this claim?
At Askeroth Law Group, we know the stress and fear that comes with a workplace injury. Our mission is simple: to make sure you get every benefit Nevada law provides; medical treatment, lost wages, a monetary award for your injuries or disability payments, and a clear path forward.
Insurance companies and employers have lawyers working to protect their bottom line. You deserve a team fighting for you.
What Workers’ Compensation Covers in Nevada
Workers’ comp isn’t a handout, it’s a right you’ve earned by showing up and doing your job.
In Nevada, injured workers may be entitled to:
Medical treatment (doctor visits, hospital stays, prescriptions, therapy)
Wage replacement while you can’t work
Permanent disability benefits if your injury has lasting effects
Vocational rehab if you need retraining for a new line of work
Survivor benefits for families after fatal workplace accidents
The problem? Getting these benefits isn’t always easy. Claims are denied, delayed, or underpaid every day. That’s where we come in.
Why Workers Call Askeroth Law Group
Workers across Nevada, from casino floors to construction sites, come to us for one reason: we fight relentlessly for people, not corporations.
We understand Nevada industries. From first responders to ride-share drivers, we’ve seen the unique challenges different workers face.
We level the playing field. Employers and insurers have resources and we make sure you have the same.
We speak your language. Clear, direct, no legal jargon. You’ll always know where your case stands.
We don’t get paid unless you win. It’s that simple.
Who We Help
Every Nevada worker deserves protection but some industries see more injuries and more pushback from employers and insurers. At Askeroth Law Group, we focus on the people who keep our state running:
First Responders: Police officers, firefighters, and EMTs who risk everything on every call.
Miners: Men and women facing lung disease, hearing loss, and mine accidents in Nevada’s toughest industry.
Construction Workers: Builders exposed to falls, equipment failures, and electrical hazards.
Drivers: Ride-share, taxi, shuttle, and delivery drivers injured on the road while keeping Nevada moving.
Casino & Hospitality Workers: Servers, housekeepers, dealers, and hotel staff who make Las Vegas and Reno shine.
Each of these groups faces unique challenges and unique battles with insurance companies. We will fight these battles for you.
“When someone gets hurt on the job, it’s never just the worker who suffers, it’s their entire family. I’ve seen moms lose sleep over lost paychecks, dads worrying about rent, and kids wondering why life suddenly feels different. Our job is to lift that weight, to fight for stability and dignity so families can get back to living, not just surviving.”
The Workers’ Compensation Process Step by Step
Step 1: Report the Injury
Tell your employer as soon as possible. Waiting too long can give them an excuse to deny your claim.
Step 2: Get Medical Help
Always prioritize your health. Tell your employer you need to see a doctor. If your employer doesn’t send you for medical treatment, go yourself and tell the doctor your injury is work-related. Make sure your injury and symptoms are documented.
Step 3: File the Claim
You’ll need to complete Nevada workers’ compensation forms. Mistakes or delays here can cost you your benefits.
Step 4: Insurance Review
The insurance company investigates. Many times, they’ll try to minimize or deny your benefits. The investigation period can take up to 30 days.
Step 5: Appeal if Necessary
If your claim is denied, don’t give up. We fight through hearings, appeals, and every available legal path until you get what you’re owed.
Real Stories, Real People
We’ve helped countless Nevada workers who were told “no” finally hear “yes.”
After years of underground hard rock mining, a miner developed silicosis and filed a workers’ compensation claim because his doctor told him he could not work in the mine due to his lung disease. The employer denied the claim, blaming the miner for not using respiratory protection. After years of fighting, we overturned the denial and the miner received back pay, a settlement, and retraining.
A driver for a non-profit company was involved in a work-related motor vehicle collision. The employer claimed that her back injury was pre-existing and denied surgery. After hiring experts and fighting in court, we proved the need for surgery was related to her crash. The employer ultimately dismissed their appeal and approved the surgery.
A firefighter filed a workers’ compensation claim after being diagnosed with lung disease. We fought to get his claim denied resulting in him receiving permanent total disability for the remained of his life.
A worker at a big box store suffered a stroke at work and his co-workers failed to provide medical care. As a result, the worker became permanently disabled and could no longer work. The insurer denied the claim arguing that his stroke was a result of a personal risk and not related to his employment. We fought the claim denial and obtained a $3,000,000.00 settlement which provided the worker and his family financial security for the rest of his life.
A police officer struggling with PTSD after years of service, we fought for recognition of mental health as a valid workplace injury.
